PREACHER, YOUTH MENTOR AND DISCIPLER

BIO: Born and raised in L.A., Gabe has a heart and passion for discipleship. While a 16-year-old student at one of the most dangerous high schools in America, he heard the call to step out and reach his community with the gospel. His subsequent work in the nonprofit world and his enthusiasm to work with students of all ages, Gabe has spread Christ’s message around the globe through preaching, teaching, research, mentoring, and training.

The Authentic LA Way: How to Lead Transformational Small Groups

As we journey with young people we must constantly evaluate our environments and strategies to foster community. The Authentic LA Way can trace its roots to the earliest days of Christianity, based primarily in homes. Ancient Christians gathered in these intimate settings to challenge each other to be authentic as they sought to follow Jesus as disciples. In this workshop you’ll learn how to create an apprenticeship culture in your ministry that grows emerging leaders with character. 

Follow Me as I Follow Christ: Discipleship Through One-on-One Metnoring

As we go through the process of developing leaders, the question will inevitably come up: What types of leaders are we producing? Ministries seeking to invest in communities for the long term must look to the New Testament for direction. Discipleship through mentoring relationships is not just our legacy; it must be our future. In this workshop you’ll learn valuable, research-based methods as well as the best practices to effectively mentor youth.
